1 | Where does Southside Classical Academy meet?
SCA meets at Southside Bible Church at 7050 S Tucson Way in Centennial, CO on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. School days begin at 8:00 am and end at 4:00 pm.* Tuesdays are required for all students. Wednesdays are optional guided study days. On Thursdays we offer an enrichment program. All of our classes run during the traditional school year - August - May.

*This time frame is our proposed schedule, but we may adjust slightly.
2 | Which grades does SCA serve?
For our 2026-27 academic school year, we will offer classes for Kindergarten students, at a minimum. We are considering launching K-2 or K-4, but it entirely depends on interest! Our prayer is that the Lord will provide the space and resources to expand a grade level every school year, eventually serving up to grade 12. Our enrichment program is offered to students K-8.
3 | Can we pick and choose courses?
To give our students a unified culture and community, our program is a full-day commitment. Each year follows a specific scope and sequence. Parents are, of course, encouraged to spend time at home elaborating on any subjects they choose!
4 | How long do students spend on homework each week?
It depends on each individual child and the family's schedule at home. On average, students will spend 4-8 hours completing SCA work each week. The design of our program is to have the bulk of homework completed on our guided study day. As we expand into the logic (6-8) and rhetoric (9-12) level, the amount of time a student spends doing work will increase.
5 | What makes Southside Classical Academy different from other programs?
We have thoughtfully developed our course of study to lay a foundation in classical education that builds upon itself as students move through our program in each stage of the trivium. Unlike co-ops that simply provide a variety of classes to pick and choose from based on interest, we have created an integrated set of courses and areas of study from kindergarten through 12th grade* to equip our students for success. Like traditional schools, SCA takes care of the planning, teaching, and grading for you. Like high schools, 3rd - 12th-grade* students move from class to class, being engaged by teachers who have a passion for and experience in their subject matter. Students benefit from being taught by gifted and caring teachers and spending time learning with peers while also enjoying the flexibility and special family time that is enjoyed by homeschooling families.

*Our inaugural year will serve a limited number of grades. We plan to expand a grade level every school year.
6 | Can I visit the school?
We welcome prospective families to visit us! We will be hosting Info Sessions for rising K-4 students and their parents. Stay tuned to be updated on dates, and sign up for our announcement list in the meantime!
7 | Are you affiliated with Classical Conversations®?
Classical Consortium Academy is not affiliated with Classical Conversations®. We are an independent classical Christian hybrid ministry. We offer a unique approach to classical Christian schooling through our classes and comprehensive curriculum support.
8 | Do I need to volunteer or teach at SCA if my child is enrolled?
Southside Classical Academy does NOT require parents to volunteer or teach at our program. SCA is a comprehensive hybrid academic ministry whose staff are funded by tuition. Many parents drop their children off in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day. Other parents stay on campus to work as support staff or teachers. For those interested, parent volunteer opportunities are available.
9 | How much does SCA cost to attend?
Please see our Tuition and Fees section for specifics. SCA tuition has a reduced rate for students of parents who are confirmed members of Southside Bible Church.
10 | Is financial aid available?
Our pricing structure is as low as possible to be accessible to most families and we are dependent on tuition payments to staff the program. If there is a financial need to make SCA possible for your family, please contact someone in leadership or mention during your family interview. At this time, we do not offer family discounts.
11 | Who are the instructors?
We are currently evaluating staffing needs. Our instructors do not need a CDE teaching license to apply for teaching roles- they may be parents with college degrees, grandparents who spent a career in a subject-related field, or community members who are passionate about delivering Christ-centered education. All positions are staffed by Christians who agree with our Statement of Faith and have been selected for their roles via the application process.
12 | Who can apply?
Priority placement will be given to applicants who are members of Southside Bible Church, but applicants do not have to be members. At this time, we are considering a covenantal admissions philosophy. We intend to serve families who hold the Christian faith. We will likely require at least one parent to affirm our Statement of Faith. Our goal is to walk alongside Christian families in the upbringing of their children.
13 | Can I apply for a teaching position?
Yes! As our staffing needs solidify we will open applications. We will be needing individual teachers for Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. Grades 3 + will be taught by subject matter experts - math, science, literature, history, latin, biblical studies, etc. Our enrichment day will also offer employment opportunities. Teaching positions will be compensated.
14 | Will class size be limited?
K-2 will be capped at 16 students. Grades 3+ will be capped at 20 students.
15 | I only want enrichment - is that an option?
Yes! Our Thursday enrichment program will be a stand-alone offer open to homeschooling students from outside of our academic program. Families in our academic program may also choose not to attend the enrichment day.
