About the Role
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Unit Study teachers to join our team at SCA Enrichment. Our unit study teachers will teach approximately 3 hours of instruction every Thursday that SCA is in session. Classes will be grouped into K-2, 3-4, and 5-6.* Unit study teachers will deliver engaging and inspiring age-appropriate instruction, exposing students to an in-depth understanding of your particular interest. A materials stipend will be provided, and all materials purchased will become property of Southside Classical Academy.
*This is the proposed hour commitment and classroom grouping – grouping will be finalized after registration period. Compensation: $20-25/hr
Requirements
Ideal Candidates:
Foremost -
· Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and seek to live a Christ-centered life. This includes being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action toward others.
· Must believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the standard by which faith and daily living are to be measured.
· Must agree with Southside Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith. Please read diligently before submitting your application.
· Must exhibit spiritual sensitivity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities in order to train children in spiritual virtue, biblical character, and academic excellence.
· Regularly attend or are a member at local church that is not antithetical to the statement of faith of Southside Classical Academy. If you are a member of Southside Bible Church, your interview process will be expedited.
Subject Related -
· Possess a demonstrated dedication to and love for a skill, hobby, or interest. (Examples: outdoor/survival skills, handicrafts, cooking/baking, chess, inventions, geography, calligraphy, Lego-building, etc.)
· Have an ability to deliver instruction in that skill effectively and energetically to children of varying ages.
